Masonry Support
Constructed out of grade 304 stainless steel, our A1 rated masonry support products meet the requirements of Part B of the building regulations, specifically in relation to the ban on combustible materials in and on the external walls of buildings: Consequential amendments following the laying of the Building (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2022.
MS-304-S (Standard System)
The MS-304-S system is our most versatile product, used for smaller cavities (up to 200mm). Its lightweight properties make it easy to handle and install. The system can be provided in various options, specifically:
Welded units - usually 2 or 3 brackets with a welded ledge to the bottom or inverted (with ledge at the top).
Bolted units – as per welded but with brackets supplied individually, with the ledge bolted on. Applicable where minor lateral tolerance (up to 10mm) is required in the brackets.
MS-304-L (Large Cavity System)
Due to increased demands for better thermal performance and fire resistance, cavity sizes are increasing in many building designs. These larger cavities mean a greater load is transferred on to the masonry support system. As such we have developed a system to cope with larger cavities (over 200mm) whilst keeping the same seamless integration with the typical external wall elements such as cavity trays, fire barriers, brick ties and the bricks themselves.
As with the MS-304-S system, the Large Cavity System can be provided in various options, specifically:
