Masonry Support (TSMS)

The main purpose of masonry support is to provide structural stability by transferring the weight of masonry elements, such as brick or stone cladding, to the building’s main structural frame or foundation. This ensures the masonry facade is properly supported and prevents excessive stress or deformation, particularly around openings like windows and doors. Masonry support systems are crucial for accommodating movement caused by thermal expansion, shrinkage, or building settlement, while maintaining the overall integrity and appearance of the structure

Constructed out of grade 304 stainless steel, our A1 rated masonry support products meet the requirements of Part B of the building regulations, specifically in relation to the ban on combustible materials in and on the external walls of buildings: Consequential amendments following the laying of the Building (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2022.

TSMS-S (Standard System)

Our TSMS-S system is our most versatile and cost efficient masonry support solution. This system will be used where there is no restriction on the ledge location in relation to the fixing point. This means the brackets can be designed to be as efficient as possible. Another benefit of the TSMS-S system is that, given the brackets are generally smaller, cavity congestion is reduced, therefore reducing interfaces with items such as fire barriers and cavity trays.

TSMS-I (Inverted System)

Our Inverted Masonry Support System is essentially an inverted version of the standard system and is usually required where clients require the movement joint to be at a specific level above the fixing points, for example running in line with window cills/top of floor slabs etc.

TSMS-D (Dropped System)

Our Dropped Masonry Support System is as per the standard system however the ledge is required to reach a defined level, usually required where the masonry support ledge acts as a lintel or has to be at a specific level lower than the fixing points.

Serrated Washer

All of our masonry support systems incorporate our serrated washer system, which allows vertical tolerance in the installation:
